Aitken Spence Hotels celebrates the season with awards and festivities

Aitken Spence Hotel Holdings PLC was crowned the Gold Award Winner in the Hotel Companies Sector whilst Browns Beach Hotels PLC received a Certificate of Compliance at the recently held 55th Annual Report Awards 2019 organised by Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (CA Sri Lanka).

The premier hospitality chain, renowned for its sustainability and eco-efforts, celebrated yet another global recognition with TUI awards; a recognition from German guests and auditors. Heritance Ahungalla (Sri Lanka) and Adaaran Select Meedhupparu (Maldives) were named ‘TUI Environmental Champions 2020’. Awarded by TUI Group, the world’s leading integrated tourism group operating in more than 100 destinations worldwide, this recognition celebrates outstanding performance in driving sustainable tourism.

Heritance Aarah Maldives emerged ‘Overall Champion’ within just few months of operations. Always a changemaker in the industry, Aitken Spence Hotels introduced LEED certified architecture to the Maldives with Heritance Aarah, the first LEED Gold certified resort in the Maldives.
