Aitken Spence Printing Clinches Platinum Award at Lanka Star Awards 2025 for the Second Consecutive Year
Aitken Spence Printing has reaffirmed its industry leadership by winning the Platinum Award for the second consecutive year at the Sri Lanka Packaging Awards “Lanka Star 2025.” The company secured the top honour by achieving the highest cumulative score, having won 4 Gold, 7 Silver, and 8 Bronze Awards across multiple categories. This remarkable achievement reflects Aitken Spence Printing’s continued commitment to excellence, innovation, quality, and sustainability in the printing and packaging industry.
Organised by the Sri Lanka Institute of Packaging (SLIP) and endorsed by the World Packaging Organization (WPO) and the Asian Packaging Federation (APF), Sri Lanka Packaging Awards, “Lanka Star 2025” served as the grand finale of Packaging Week 2025, which also featured the Global Packaging Congress, WPO Board Meetings, and the Lankapak Exhibition.
This year’s competition attracted over 300 entries from 70 organizations, showcasing the industry’s growing creativity and technological advancement across a wide range of packaging solutions. Winners of the Lanka Star Awards will be eligible to represent Sri Lanka at the AsiaStar and WorldStar Awards, two of the most prestigious global packaging competitions.

These recognitions stand as a testament to its skilled workforce, cutting-edge technology, and unwavering dedication to customer satisfaction. The Lanka Star Awards featured a wide range of categories, including Consumer Packaging, Packaging Materials, Point of Purchase/Sale, Transport, Accessories, Marketing, Food Saving, Innovation, and Sustainable Packaging. Awards were presented in Gold, Silver, and Bronze tiers, while the Platinum Award was presented to the company that achieved the highest overall score. Winners were selected following a rigorous judging process conducted by a panel of eminent professionals from the packaging industry.
Established over 70 years ago in Galle, Aitken Spence Printing began as an in-house printing facility and has since evolved into a formidable full-service printer, serving both local and international clients in sectors such as Tea, Apparel, FMCG, Pharmaceuticals, Food, Beverage & Tobacco, Publications, Consumer Durables, Protective Wear, Stationery, and POSM.
