Aitken Spence Printing made an impressive mark at the Lanka Star Awards organised by the Sri Lanka Institute of Packaging (SLIP), held on the 22nd of November 2024, clinching 4 Gold, 7 Silver, and 16 Bronze awards and more importantly, becoming the overall winner and the most outstanding printing & packaging company by winning the prestigious platinum award.

The entry categories for the Lanka Star Awards included consumer packaging, packaging material, point of purchase/ sale, transport, accessories, marketing, food saving, innovation and sustainable/ eco-friendly packaging. The awards consist of Gold, Silver, and Bronze with Platinum Award for scoring the highest number of point winners. Winners of the Lanka Star Awards were qualified to participate in the prestigious Asian Star and World Star Awards held annually in various member countries.
Aitken Spence Printing began its business 69 years ago in Galle, largely to cater to its in-house stationery and other printing needs but had grown over the years to become a formidable printer servicing local and overseas clients in segments such as Tea, Apparel, FMCG, Pharmaceuticals, Food, Beverage & Tobacco, Publications, Consumer Durables & Protective Wear, Stationary and POSM etc. The modern printing plant located just outside of Colombo in Mawaramandiya is a 100,000 square foot facility.
